Old Florida Cafe

We had passed signs for Micanopy on our travels around Florida and decided to stop in and go to the Old Florida Cafe. It was so relaxing after driving for a while. The town is beautiful and the restaurant is a great place to eat. They have sandwiches and comfort food, along with fresh brewed coffees and homemade desserts. Everyone is very friendly and the prices are fair.

Great stop for lunch. Cuban sandwich with a side black beans and rice. Meal was delicious and filling. Large portions!Service was great! Nice little town to walk in.

Decided to go to Micanopy for lunch. Picked Old Florida Cafe. Granddad was the cook. The service was friendly and personable. Unique place. But that's Micanopy. We ate outside. Food was good. Service great. Stop by here and check this place out. We'll be back. Also met new dog "Sushi".

I had the Cuban sandwich topped with mojo pork. It was exquisite; bread was toasted to perfection and the flavor was a perfect blend of savor (mojo pork Swiss), salt (ham), and acid (mustard and pickle).

So my apologies for not having more photos but my rationale is simply that the food is So good that I forgot to take many pictures. Having said that I would like to share that the Food, Service and Atmosphere are truly terrific. I enjoyed the BLT on Cuban Bread. The half and half Iced Tea is brewed perfectly. The turkey on Cuban bread is just as amazing as the BLT. What truly makes it special is the kindness of all the staff. The wait times are minimal. But the smiles are worth it. It may have been a bit warm outside but it was nice seeing all the cool props. Like the Maytag washer machine. lol. So if you don’t have a reason to come to Micanopy, now you Do!

Great place, very hospitable & loved sitting outside eating their famous Cuban with a slice of key lime. Yum.

I really enjoyed my visit today to Old Florida Cafe. Very chill atmosphere. Cheyenne was really cool and was working the restaurant with just the cook. She was super kind to every customer even though she was busy and she was able to get the food out quickly. I had the banana pudding she made and the bacon sandwich. Everything tasted great and I had enough left over to bring some banana pudding home. Traveling alone is hard but when you find really nice staff at a good restaurant if makes it so much easier. Also if you want to check out some cool sites Cheyenne knew the area and pointed me towards some cool spots to check out. To the owners, I hope you know how great you're staff are the two of them were bustun butt and really rockin today and did a great job! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Great food and even better service! The Cuban sandwich, black beans with yellow rice and banana pudding was amazing. I will definitely be back
